Chen, Bin is a professor at the School of Computer Science, Peking University. He holds a Bachelor's, Master's, and Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Peking University. He is also the Deputy Director of the Virtual Geographic Environment Professional Committee of the International Society for Digital Earth (ISDE) Chinese National Committee and a member of the Artificial Intelligence Popularization Professional Committee of the China Association for Science and Technology Education Workers.
Research Interests: His research focuses on Virtual Reality and Virtual Geographic Environments. He has led and participated in numerous projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Key Research and Development Program, and entrusted by organizations such as the China Association for Science and Technology, the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, and Tencent Company.
Teaching: He teaches several undergraduate and graduate-level courses, including "Data Structures and Algorithms" and "Discrete Mathematics." He is the instructor for the National First-class Undergraduate Course "Artificial Intelligence and Information Society" and "Earth and Human Civilization." He has been recognized with several awards for his teaching excellence, including the National Second Prize for Teaching Achievements, the Beijing Higher Education Teaching Master Award, the First Peking University Teaching Excellence Award, and multiple municipal and school-level teaching achievement awards.
