The 1st Online Workshop between Peking University's School of Computer Science and Monash University's Faculty of Information Technology Held Successfully
On April 24, 2024, the School of Computer Science at Peking University and the Faculty of Information Technology at Monash University co-hosted their 1st Online Workshop, drawing participation from faculty across diverse fields.
Prof. Zhenjiang Hu, Dean of Peking University's School of Computer Science, extended a warm welcome, highlighting the strengthened ties between the two schools following the recent MOU signing. Especially noteworthy is that we will launch the student exchange program this summer, with two outstanding students from Monash University’s Faculty of Information Technology joining our Advanced Topics in Computer Science summer program. We look forward to having them here!
Prof. Geoff Webb of Monash University’s Faculty of Information Technology reciprocated the sentiment, expressing enthusiasm for deepening collaboration with Peking University’s School of Computer Science.
The workshop featured presentations from representatives of both schools, showcasing their research and expertise. Spanning three hours, the event fostered rich discussions and insights among attendees.
In conclusion, discussions pivoted towards future collaborative endeavors, including student and faculty exchanges, as well as both in-person and online workshops. With collaboration as our driving force, we eagerly anticipate strengthening the bond between the two schools in the coming years!
